If you have ever been to Seaside, you know it has a wonderfully simple, elegant style. At the house we stayed at recently, it had the most romantic and beautiful outdoor curtains. It really just made the space. Looking for cheap art...DIY

Looking for a cheap way to brighten up your space? Look no further than your local walmart/lowes/home depot/etc. You can use paint chips to make a funky modern piece of art. I have used them to border picture frames, sewn them together to make fringe and here are some more ideas for using them as art. (Ps paint chips are super easy to sew together).

Shopping at antique/junk stores

I looooove shopping at thrift/antique/junk stores that most people would turn their noses up at. But I always find something worth looking at! David has learned, if we are on a trip...we are finding the thrift stores!! I found this article on "how to shop at antique stores" from apartment therapy. Inspiration for the new season

We've been working hard on the new line (hint: could be a sale in BIRDS future : )) and wanted to share a few of the things that have inspired us for our new pieces. Gift by the sea

Sooooo...in case you've been wondering where we've been for the last week. I got married!!! Woohoo!! We had the most beautiful wedding (vintage inspired of course) and then went on the most beautiful honeymoon. We had the quaintest little beach cottage in Seaside. Check it out if you've never been www.seasidefl.com The name of our precious little house was "gift by the sea" hence the name of the blog post. We ate at some of our most favorite restaurants and discovered some new favorites as well.
